The Market at Lock 3 features fresh produce, farm products, art and more! Taste our specialty hot dogs from Lock 3's grille wagon for lunch and enjoy the summer Friday afternoons with FREE use of sports equipment in our new Grotto area. Equipment includes bocce sets, Frisbees, cornhole, marbles, kites, gloves and balls.

Downtown workers can ride the trolley FREE on Fridays from one end of Main Street to the other – Canal Place to Northside.

This event replaces the Wednesday & Friday markets at Cascade Plaza.

2nd Annual Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition

Join us for the 2nd Annual Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition presented by West Point Market. Over 20 professional and amateur chefs from all over the country create unique and exquisit works of art from fruits and vegetables as they compete for prizes.

 

Children's Science Investigation (CSI) -In The Stars: Explore the night sky where science and mythology converge. Bring your favorite flashlight and tuna or cat food can and make a constellation of your very own.

The 3rd Annual Melon Drop benefitting The Akron Canton FoodBank! Bring your kids to drop watermelons, honeydew and canataloupes off the State St. parking deck and see who can make the biggest SPLAT!

 

Children Science Investigation (CSI): Drop and Bounce - Explore Newton's Law of Gravity while observing the annual Melon Drop. Make your own chemical reaction bouncy ball and join the fun!
